The SwiftBOL assistant, in your Zoom meetings
Connect your Zoom account and the assistant can join the Zoom meetings you attend, including those hosted by other companies. When the meeting ends you get the minutes, the decisions and the action items. Here's how to add the app, use it and remove it.

What the Zoom connection allows
- The SwiftBOL assistant can join Zoom meetings hosted by other accounts that you attend, with the temporary permission Zoom requires.
- When it ends, the minutes in your SwiftBOL account: summary, decisions, action items with owners and the transcript.
- Minimal permissions: SwiftBOL only asks Zoom for what the assistant needs to join on your behalf (user:read:token and user:read:zak).
- SwiftBOL doesn't read your scheduled meetings, contacts, chats or Zoom recordings.
Included in every plan, Free included.
How to add the app
- You need a SwiftBOL account (you can create one for free) and a Zoom account.
- In SwiftBOL, open Integrations and, under Connections, click Connect next to Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked, review the permissions and click Allow.
- You're back in SwiftBOL and Zoom shows as “Connected”. You can also start from the Zoom App Marketplace: search for SwiftBOL, click “Add” and you'll finish connecting in SwiftBOL.
How to use it
- Before the meeting, open Meeting assistant in SwiftBOL, paste the Zoom meeting link and send the assistant. If you connect Google Calendar and turn on auto-join, it joins the meetings in your calendar on its own.
- Join the meeting yourself with the Zoom account you connected: Zoom requires you to be in it for the assistant to join.
- The assistant shows up as another participant and posts in the chat that it is recording. Depending on the meeting's settings, the host may need to admit it from the waiting room or allow it to record.
- Let participants know and have their consent before recording.
- When the meeting ends, the minutes appear in SwiftBOL within a few minutes: summary, decisions, action items with owners and the transcript. From there you can ask questions about it, share it or send it to your tools.
How to remove the app
- From SwiftBOL: open Integrations and, under Connections, click Disconnect next to Zoom.
- From Zoom: go to the Zoom App Marketplace (marketplace.zoom.us), open “Manage” → “Added Apps”, find SwiftBOL and click “Remove”.
Once removed, the assistant can no longer join Zoom meetings hosted by other accounts on your behalf. SwiftBOL deletes the connection data (the access tokens, stored encrypted, and your Zoom user ID) as soon as you disconnect or Zoom tells it you removed the app. The minutes and transcripts you already have stay in your SwiftBOL account until you delete them or delete your account in Settings → Delete account.
SwiftBOL stores your meetings in the European Union. From Zoom it only keeps the access tokens, encrypted, and your Zoom user ID, and deletes them when you disconnect or remove the app from Zoom.
Troubleshooting and questions
Which SwiftBOL plan do I need?
Any of them. The Free plan includes 1 hour of assistant a month to try it in a real meeting; paid plans include more hours.
I get an error when I come back to SwiftBOL after connecting Zoom
Click Connect next to Zoom in Integrations again; if you started from the Zoom App Marketplace, SwiftBOL picks the connection up for you. Check that you're signed in to SwiftBOL with your account and that you accept the permissions in Zoom. If it still fails, write to support@swiftbol.com.
The assistant doesn't join the meeting
Check that the link is a Zoom meeting link, that you're in the meeting with the connected Zoom account and that the host admits it from the waiting room. If the meeting doesn't let participants record, the host has to allow it.
Do I need to connect Zoom to use SwiftBOL?
No. You can upload recordings or record in your browser without connecting anything. The Zoom connection lets the assistant join Zoom meetings hosted by other accounts on your behalf.
Where is the data stored?
Your minutes and transcripts are stored in the European Union (Frankfurt) and never used to train AI. From Zoom, SwiftBOL only keeps the access tokens, encrypted, and your Zoom user ID.
